Vanaf woensdag 13 juli 2011 draait in alle Pathé bioscopen het allerlaatste deel van de Harry Potter-reeks. Ter gelegenheid hiervan organiseert Pathé in de nacht van maandag 11 op dinsdag 12 juli start om 0.30 uur in vijf bioscopen in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag, Groningen en Eindhoven de Harry Potter Marathon (2016: klik hier). In Pathé ArenA, Pathé Schouwburgplein, Pathé Spuimarkt, Pathé Groningen en Pathé Eindhoven worden alle acht films na elkaar worden gedraaid. In alle theaters is de marathon al uitverkocht (bron: persbericht).
De marathon start maandagnacht om 00.30 uur en eindigt dinsdagnacht om 02.15 uur. De marathon eindigt in de nacht van dinsdag 12 op woensdag 13 juli met de première van het laatste deel uit de reeks, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.

De slotfilm
Het is dit jaar dé film waar iedereen naar uitkijkt: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2. In dit laatste deel van de Harry Potter-cyclus barst de strijd tussen de goede en kwade krachten in de tovenaarswereld pas echt los. Niemand is nog veilig en niets is meer wat het ooit was. Harry Potter komt steeds dichter bij de allesbeslissende confrontatie met de Heer van het Duister en zal als Uitverkorene misschien wel het ultieme offer moeten brengen. Het einde nadert. Dit is het slot. Met Daniel Radcliffe als Harry Potter, Rupert Grint als Ron Wemel en Emma Watson als Hermelien Griffel. Regie: David Yates.
